I hear the thunder laugh above me
And the spurts of lightening crackle close by
The drumming of the rain drops
Set the rhythm of my heart
I feel I whole storm within me
Pulsing through all of my cells
A war that’s fighting
Through my mind
Through my heart
Through everything inside and out
I feel it push at the layers of my skin
Fighting to break out
And echoed by the storm outside
Raging across the sky
Across my skin
It calls for me to lose control
To relinquish all I hold inside
To open up and let it out
And join the storm outside
