What's the Worth of a Tear?

What's the worth of a tear?
that small stain on your pillow,
the soft drop rolling down your cheek,
what's the worth of a tear,
with the price of all of the pain?

How can something so small hurt so much?
when all the world seems to fall away and blur,
when the only thing you see is the puddle in your hands.

So small a thing, so great a price.
Just a bit of salt water, and a great big flood of emotion.
So much comes and goes with that release, but what if the release never
comes?
What's the worth of a tear, for those that have so many?
But what's the worth of a tear, for those that find none to shed?
