Forgetting Winter

As the spring's breeze
Silently blows
This day,
This time is all she knows
Forgetting scars
Of winters past
Forgetting that
This moment won't last
Joyishly dancing
Until the last light is gone
Foolishly dreaming
Until the first light of dawn
Forgetting the cold
Of past winters pain
Forgetting the endless
Nights that remain
Hoping this light
Will never die
Nievely thinking
She will always fly
Forgetting freight
Of past winters fear
Forgetting days
Filled with tears
Glimmer, shimmer,
Sparkle so bold
Youth so invigorating
She'll never get old
Forgetting past winters
Of endless sleep
Forgetting nightmares
Etched so deep
Smile, rejoyce,
Innocent, new
So careless, so free,
So beautiful, so true
Forgetting darkness
Cold and bitter
Forgetting me
Forgetting winter...
