There she lays, sprawled on a bed of roses
Her hair falling apon its satin petals in doses
She closes her eyes, staring into the blue sky
Painted with clouds of cotton, forming illusions of stopping time
I'd lay next to her, but I dare not even think it
Next to this angel of heaven apon this thorny blanket
I could never spoil somthing as fine as she
I havn't even the courage to attempt to breathe
So I hold my breathe, untill my face turns blue
Goodness dear sky, im almost as blue as you
And she won't notice me, so silently above her
Untill I explode with emotion, and rain down apon her
My gentle rain drops of unspeakable effection
Dabble and dot her, too beauty's perfection
As she lays there still, with her arms stretched out at her side
When she smiles into the rain and we softly collide
She lets out a gasp, and a sigh of relief
When something happened that you'd never believe
Her chest began to rise, and slowly began to fall
And we were breathing as one, as though we had been all along
If ever you knew, of a moment like this
It must be in a poem, that is found in a kiss
When my rain subsided and she lay in blissful trance
And I woke up knowing, today is my last chance
