Late mid days morning they lay awake
sipping kettle brewed sweet aroma
as he gently caresses her soft dark hair
she smiles
and quivers at his gentle touch

a warm breeze ruffles white curtains revealing
the sun two lovers have let pass furiously by
they rise among the satin sheets
sprawled along the bright wooden floor
reflecting the image of the roaring ocean before them

squinted eyes and bright smiles
passing the day carelessly away
together
they stand along the balcony
to watch a world which belongs to them
the oceans mist which mats their wild morning hair

he touches her face and smiles as she stands
bashful
they look out to the white pebble beach
which rolls and cracks white foam upon the rocks
along the edge of the property

they make their way to the beach front to begin their careless day
in their careless life of lovers love
warm sand fills her feet as she makes her way to the crashing waves
like a circus act she balances along the waters edge
trying not to get wet

he runs to her slipping sand through his feet he holds her warm body to his
as they fall to the soft turf which lays before them
starring up toward the blue skies
patched with white shaped curiosity
they try to imagine what they appear to be

they lay awake careless
as the beach drifts away and returns to them
like a mellow tune played out
with the tempo of a passionate beat

this is their world
red walls and plush carpets
and careless romantics
drawn behind the fog of wet lips
and soft fingertips

Together they live
careless to the world around them
drawn together by the songs
of blissful romance
they live their lives away
starring into the eyes of another
