Truth Serium

If I could feed the world a truth serium
That only liars could taste,
They'd spit out purple gum
While their minds were erased.
Programmed to tell the truth,
Programmed to never lie.
Programmed never to make up stories
Programmed to never die.
If I could burrow down
Inside your lonesome head
I'd know a lot of things
I'd know what you really said.
Your purple stickie punch
Misses its mark, it's true.
But mine lands perfectly
While yours has fallen through.
Insane ramblings of a teen
Or the result of too much potion
My truth serium really works
And causes a commotion.
Flow out your truths,
Fragile though they are.
Let them light the Darkest night,
You're truth's a shooting star.
