Blood, sweat, and tears
Is all I have to give
I have no love
Because loving is my sin

Loving gets me hurt
Loving brings me down
It opens me up to pain
And it turns me inside-out

Love makes me bitter
It’s supposed to make me sweet
Love isn’t a pick me up
That sweeps me off my feet

I’m not allowed to love
Because I don’t know how
I’m not good at loving
I do it wrong somehow

I wish I didn’t have that feeling
That terrible thing called love
It turns me into a person I don’t like
A person who pushes and shoves

I want this feeling of love
To be gone from my life
The only thing I can think of
Is going to find a knife

I can cut the love right out of me
Then pain and hurt will be cut out too
Pain and hurt are caused by love
Which in effect is caused by you
