Little angel, fallen angel
Spread your wings, darkling angel
Let your halo drop, my angel
Let your eyes survey the stars.
In heaven they wander, in danger of dying.
And the blood lusty moon governs you
Ordering you. "Sleep not while I ride in darkness."
Queen of Heaven rules the night
While her brightly knight in black
Fends off the fiends that would attack.
Diana and Apollo dance 'round the sky
A ballad too lovely to jot
in science journals, are rot
and sway the hearts of philosophers and poets alike.
A night as such, they wander, the lot
In search of a vessel of blood.
In ceremonial robes, to Daphne they pose
Verses of poetry to awaken to goddess of lore
They burned incense around a circle of blood
To conjure up the spirits of gods
And they did succeed to bring life into the bloodless ghosts
And did sing praisal hymns when they offered themselves droplets to drink
And they left bloodless victims of priests.
a very rich dinner indeed, you see...
The bloody dance took no more
Than an hour for it took no more
Than an hour to drink it all.
And they were left homeless and abandoned
Left to their wantings and needs, wanton
Of mortal life and so forth and on
(The taste, to swoon)
Leaves no respect for those who
transcend life, death and all!
And the wings of my angel, my dirty angel
Seek refuge in the earth, protection
Of the burning stares of angels
Whose hatred are fueled by her election
of mortal love over immortality.
Lovely angel, Fallen angel
Let your wings drop my angel,
Let your blood flow, darkling angel.
