Sitting in the dark alone
Tears running down your pale face
Wondering what happened
Wanting to know why
What did you do wrong?
“Why can’t anyone tell me why,” you request…
But they don’t have the answers
Only one person knows
And that’s you

You said that this was the one
The only lover that loves you back
That he’ll be there forever
Do the things that you need
But one thing always stays the same
As time goes on you fall apart
What happened to the true love?
What happened to forever?

Tears form into rivers around you
Dirty tissue lay in piles forming mountains
Rainfalls from the sky forming thick black puddles
Thick and tacky
Matting up to your skin
Holding you to the floor

In the center of the world lay you motionless
Parents weeping in the corner
Screaming why
Pleading to God
All they want is their daughter back

That is the one thing that they can’t have
For in that puddle lay the gleaming blade
That took their daughter away
