I want to be alone with the one who loves me
I've lost all I've owned
He is so precious to me
Now I'm wrapped around your body
My breath is on your lips
If it was truly love we followed
Would it have come to this?
The leaves are falling
It didn't take too long
The leaves are turning
We never were that strong
As I die to you
These things you contemplate
Always for yourself
Would I be worth the wait?
It's too late to do it over
I just wish we had gone slower
All the things I thought we could be
You're insignificant to me
I look into his eyes
I'd give him anything
But I can't be restored
I just had to throw it away
All the things that he deserves most
Were they the things I gave away?
The memory will soon drown
But the blood will stain
These things you comtemplate
You always think about yourself
You're insignificant
Nothing's ever worth the wait
