My Prison

Despite my constant begging
To the guard I do despise
With my anger climbing
And my shrived cries
My prison in the ghost town

Looking out from the cold metal bars
At the phantom figures walking by
And the numb spring air moving trees
The warm bright sun in the sky
A stone cold structure in the ghost town

The transparent figures walking though me
Not noticing im trapped in this cell
Or what’s going on behind these walls
Emotional fire like the flames of hell
Trapped in this prison I call home

The guards come and go as they wish
Leaving me in an envious state
Wishing freedom upon myself
Needing to get out for my sanity’s sake
My home is the prison in the ghost town
