walking quietly through the halls
burst right through the door
circling around, lean against the wall
as i sink down to the floor
too late now, the tears overflow
as i kneel down on scarred knees
sobbing silently so no one hears
as i cut a bright red scream
but it's okay, no one knows
this pain within my heart
no one will ever even see
when the tears begin to start
even though you did this to me
i still don't want you to feel
that you are the cause of all of this,
i'll just pretend it isn't real
take my happiness, my heart
my spirit, soul, and laugh
and in return you give to me
tears, memories, and photographs
so be careful, and watch closely
and maybe then you'll see
listen closely and maybe then,
you'll hear a silent bright red scream
