Winter

Snowflakes drift away
Dark clouds crowd in, jostling
and rumbling crossly.

Spring

Afraid to begin
Irises sprout bravely up
crusaders of growth


Summer

The sun upon me
pressing me against the ground
cool grass uplifting.


Autumn

A mural of colors
one last salute to beauty
before a white death
