A weary, teary, hopeless face
In a strange, yet familiar place
Scar tissue encompassing skin
Tattered, dying, body thin
Weak and barely able to stand
Screaming for someone’s helping hand
I don’t know who this girl could be
Why the hell is she staring at me?
Tears of blood flow from her eyes
Usually hidden by happy lies
Wishing to quickly run and hide
To find some peace in suicide
In her eyes, fear abides
She and I alike inside
I want to embrace this twin of mine
To tell her things’ll be just fine
I want to calm her haunting fears
To reach and wipe her bloody tears
But through a mirror no one can pass
For when you push, it becomes shattered glass
