“Welcoming The Pain”
The earth sets
on our hero’s last die alive
stars now flood the black sky
alone in his chair
sweet sorrow filling the air
he closes his eyes
and welcomes the pain
for all his efforts
they were in vain
it was a preventable murder
and he is left wearing thin
mind slowly caving in
choices he made
remind him of way back when
before the ball got rolling
before his life went downhill
now, as always, alone
sweet bitter sorrow
filling the air
he closes his eyes
welcomes the pain
It’s a day worth dying
If it wasn’t in vain……
