Tragic Death In Forest Eyes

I look in the mirror as light shines through my eyes
It's like looking into a forest where true meaning lies
Beyond the trees of the unknown truth
Lives the horrible fear of delinquent youth
Tree bark torn from limb to limb
Just like the scars on a teenager's skin
Deaths come and go, but the reasons to regret
What really burns inside is the memory to forget
Guns and bombs destroying foreign land
Under the terror of our President's command
Soldiers and citizens die each day
The strong ones go, but the brave ones stay
Fear takes charge in our cities and towns
One man's fall is another man's down
True love breaks yet another heart
Rendering the broken ones back to the start
So many ravaged souls seeking new lives
But finding more comfort in the need to despise
The enmity that grows from divergent forms
Reaches to a point where a new evil is born
The Forest grounds are covered with hate
Opening the world to a brand new gate
Breaking in and entering will earn a story told
Bringing up the new fear that before you will unfold
The cuts from the bushes with razor sharp thorns
Opens a new wound, leaving the enemy warned
An innocent life is taken and cannot be replaced
One by one, they drop like flies, to an unexpected embrace
I watch the world through my Forest Eyes
Wondering where all the serenity lies
The sun sets over a graveyard hill
One life to birth, another to kill
