Listening To Your Heart

Staring out the window
Listening to the rain
Wishing you weren't alone
Wishing you weren't in pain
As you sit there thoughts race
Through your mind
Like "whats wrong with me?"
"Why am i always left behind?"
Thinking no body will care
You go ahead and slightly cut your wrist
You're just sitting here alone
How could you possibly be missed?
The jagged knife touches your skin
And you suddenly think again
Something told you to stop
And thats when you see a tear drop
Your head thinks one thing
And your heart says another
Your head wants to give up
But your heart says to be stronger
Its times like these
When you need to learn
To listen to your heart
Its times like these
Where a stupid mistake
Could tear someones world apart
