Teach Me This

Teach me something I don’t know—
The place where flowers really go
When winter brings its deep, white snow—
Teach me this.

Whisper secrets I’ve not heard—
The night owl’s wisest, wittiest word,
The sanity in something that’s absurd—
Tell me this.

Show me something I can’t see—
The moon’s hiding place on the darkest eve,
A vision of all I can one day be—
Show me this.

Touch me in places I’ve never felt—
Let me feel joy and love without guilt;
Give me your sunshine and make my heart melt—
Touch my soul.
