Lightning cracking in the distance
Ripping away the sky
Leaving gaps in the sheet
That covers you up
Protecting you from pain
Holding him back
Pounding from the sky

Eardrums pound
Ripping in two
Pain jolting down your spine
Making you yell out
Just for it to end

Lightning cracking in the distance
Ripping away your skin
Leaving gaps in your soul
That you hide out in
Ripping apart your insides
Throwing them into the abyss

Screaming out into the noise
Screaming for it to stop
Still it cracks down on you
Until it stops

When it ends
You’re left in ruins
Blood gushes out
Leaving you there
Chest heaving
Crying out
Just wishing that it was no more

Blood caked and matted
Lightning strikes again
Filling you with holes
Ripping you apart
Leaving you there
Just to breathe your last breath
