The Razor's Edge

It only hurts when I breathe
Heart and soul under siege
I shower crimson red deceit
My knees buckle and I crumble with defeat
The edge of the blade against my skin
The empty bottles of Tequila and Gin
Not an inch of hesitation or doubt
That I should poke my fucking eyes out
The edge of the blade against my skin
Another millimeter and you will win
You’re better than me, right?
Because I choose not to stay and fight?
I can’t trust you, and I don’t trust me

I will not commit this sin
As I take this blade away from my skin
