Death Is Upon Us

As we step into the light,
We see a shadow up ahead.
As we talk cheerfully,
Someone is dying in bed.

Death is Upon Us,
With every step.
We are waiting for our death bed,
Not to die happy instead.

Waiting and wondering.,
When our lives will end.
A ringing in my step I am springing,
Not to die happy instead.

Dreams make us,
Deathly ill.
Make all us,
Breath still.

Making a noise,
Like a screech in the night.
Falling down a hill,
And roll.

Knifes, guns, and other things,
We never think of the hurtfulness.
Death is Upon Us.
Not to die happy instead
