Everyday sitting there
You not here is a nightmare
It’s not fair that you were taken away
We’re thinking about it everyday
But, in out hearts we wish you were here
Why God took you away will never be clear
We’re remembering the fact that you are gone
While lights from heaven are shining done upon
We know you’re looking down upon us
While we are fighting and creating a fuss
If only you were here, you could fix this
By saying calm down, and on the cheek give a little kiss
Family gatherings are so hard
We can’t talk no more while sitting in the yard
It brings back those happy memories
Of sitting on the porch in those cool breeze eves
All the kids telling you of their troubles
It was like ya’ll were in your own little bubble
But then the day came that the Lord decided to take you away
Why did he decide to take you on that day
Now our family was left weeping
Our feelings inside are what we are keeping
Now in heaven an angel looks down
On everyone crying in out little town
But one day I am coming to see you
And some day soon the family will be there too
But looking but looking down on me you will always do
That is why our family relationship always grew
But now in heaven there’s a great angel
Who wasn’t here to rock his grandson’s cradle
But we know you truly love him
That is why there is a light shining down dim
But there is a great angel in heaven, loving and crying out
We need to try to let our feelings out
Never talking about this
That is why everyone is experiencing loneliness
We cannot help that you were taken
But all the family is very shaken
Not believing that you are gone
We can’t see the facts that you’re looking down upon
How can you be gone? Is what we will say
Thinking that you would be here still on this day
A prayer we needed to save your life
And then maybe our family wouldn’t be put through all this strife
We love you very much
And a place in our hearts will always be touched
Talk to me I am here for you
Don’t try to hide your feelings too
Hiding feelings will do nothing for us
In our hearts it creates more or a fuss
Missing him is really all we can do
And I am going through the same things as you
I am here to provide comfort for your eyes
So tell your feelings and don’t try to lie
