I wake from another nightmare
Screaming out in pain
I cry tears of a withered heart
Mixing in with rain
I heard it happened so fast
Hating myself for being so far away
You looked at me with tears in you eyes
Struggling with words you've been waiting to say
I kept telling myself to wake up
This dream won't seem to end
My eyes burn with thousands of tears
As I watched you struggle again
I took your hand in mine
As my eyes pleaded to continue
A rapturous voice finally escapes
Whispering, "I always did love you..."

I held you as you faded away
Holding back a fierce scream
I wanted to wake up so bad
When I knew this wasn't a dream
