Red ribbons lace my arms
Dancing slowly towards him
Holding me gently
Ice breath warms my heart
The ribbons entwine my stomach
Wrapping down my knees
Smiling he watches my dazed eyes
Red ribbons dripping to the floor
Screams of sheer agony
Ripping away to stand alone
He disappears
He is gone
Lying on the floor
A dream becomes reality
Mending once more
Red ribbons are not there
Replaced with scars
With feelings of longing to be…
