I sit alone in the rain,
Memories of a happy past linger and tease my soul.
Nothing seems to bring me true joy anymore,
The blissfulness of youth has faded away.
Darkness has drenched me to the core.
The pain of a lost love haunts me,
Sinking me deeper into the abysmal shadows of my mind.
My heart turns to ice.
None shall break me.
None shall see me.
None will know of who I am.
Lock myself uptight, none to pass.
I have sunken to deep to be withdrawn.
The light burns my flesh and my soul,
Condemning my actions.
Faces of a distant life dance
The more I think, the more I hide.
Never to love, never to care again.
They have left me,
Warmth no longer lingers,
Time no longer stands still.
