I saw your picture today
Laughed at your somewhat toothless grin
I remembered your face today
Once more was blinded by your beauty
I watched that movie again
Screamed out your name when the scary part came
I listened for your voice among the rain
Found the cold breeze instead
I whispered your name again
Finding a smile after I’d said it
I searched for your name in me
Only to find it imprinted in my heart
Placed the picture back in the dark
Reawakening these past memories
Brings back the best in me
That part of me….
Died along with you
