Do You Remember?

Do you know the people who died?
What about how many people that had cried
Do you remember that tragic day?
When the lives of our friends were taken away
That cold, icy day that left our students crying
And the same day that we thought was horrifying
Alex and Nerissa died that morning
And now family and friends began their mourning
Alex was described as super smart
Nerissa was described to have a kind heart
Both of them were loved by people we know
So, why did god choose to let them go?
And now I ask you, family and friends,
Do you remember how that day ends?
I do, I remember my friends that cried
Because Alex and Nerissa both had died
Now crossing through heaven are two great kids
Who were coming to school and their car slid
School should have been cancelled, not two hour delay
Then maybe you’d still be with us today
They did not deserve to lose their lives
If only it were that easy to bring you back alive
Your parents said that they love you
How many people this had affected, if only you knew
Everyday we think of you
How can we not our lives are lost without you two
Sitting in school seeing the children cry
Everyday trying to comfort their eyes
They sit there and say “Are they really gone”
There is a dim light from heaven shining upon
That is how we now you are there
Always there to love and care
We miss you both, never forgotten
Always thinking of you, in our hearts unforgotten
