Pa-Pa was so sweet and kind
always on somebody's mind
It was always great to be by his side
because every moment with him
prolonged a memory to last a life
time.
He use to give good words of advice
that made the person he told, think
twice.
Even though at times I was blue
I knew I could turn to him because
his love was so tru.
Pa-pa was one of a kind
no one will ever find a grandfather
like mine.
I always trusted him with my heart
because I knew he'd never tear it
apart.
When all my friends were gone
he bid me to still fight on
He promised never to leave me
never to leave me alone
I guess it was his time to go
even though I loved him so
But I'll keep going on
to show him that I'm strong
I know he's gone to a better place
and again one day I'll see his
smiling face.
Now I have to be good
like he always told me I should
I gotta make him proud
cause I know he watches me up
above on top of a cloud.
My dear sweet pa-pa
how I miss and love you so
You're already on my mind
and you haven't even been gone
a long time.
But no matter how many years and
decades pass on
You'll never be forgotten
never left alone
Oh my darling sweet Pa-Pa...
