Sometimes you cry at night
Because you can no longer take the pain
You close your eyes
Just to see the darkness drain away the day
So you don't have to remember the tears
And you don’t have to wander in these fears

And the morning comes just a little too fast
The sun just a little too strong
You can’t keep going on
Like this
It’s been way too long

You lock the doors
And draw the reinforced shades
Bury yourself in that black comforter
Just in case someone hears you breathe

You can’t take the chance
Someone might hear
Breaking down
The walls you so carefully erected
The place you so carefully created
So the rest of the world
Can’t laugh at your dying ways
