A Sad Role's Influence

The stage light shines right one though
I get on stage and take my que
I'm playing the part of a teenage girl
Who sees things differently then the rest of the world.
Her part isn't happy of joyous at all
She stumbles a lot and often she falls
She doesn't go to rally's or go to the mall
In fact, she has no friends at all.
She stays in her room, depressed and alone
Her room is the only thing she's ever known.
Her eyes, at one time, shined so bright
Once able to be seen late at night
She hates the world and all it's things
What it sends and what it brings
From close up, she looks so jaded
And from afar, washed up and faded.
This play turns out a tragedy by far
She dies in a crash, truck on car.
Playing this role, the life of this girl
Makes me see different from the rest of the world.
