To Wish Upon A Shooting Star

Star, star, in the sky
Would you mind if did ask
Is there something you could do for me
One tiny, simple task?

You see, I've asked for all these years
For guidance when I need your eye
But you never reply, you just shoot away
Leaving me to wonder why

So now, will you listen to me
For you see, my world, is enveloped in night
I need your help to assist me
To help me put up a fight

The only thing I see in this night
Is my agony and you, star
So help me now and prove to me
You are what the say you are

Tell me you can grant wishes
Tell me you don't leave the helpless
Tell me that you will help me
And not leave me alone and defenseless

So give me your answer, O bright shining star
Tell me you can give me the might
But if not, thats okay, just go away
And soar off into the night
