Sail Away

I could go on for hours,
Remember past times of joy.
But reality sometimes hits us hard.
The realization of my mistakes trembles
My heart’s foundation of your love and truth.
Torn,
Ripped at the seam, right out of my tight grasp.
Tell me I was imagining all your lies.
Let me be grounded in your words
You meant so much to me.
It’s time to just let go.
