The water trickles down my neck
The farther it goes the hotter
It becomes.
Slowly moving ….
Down my chest and arms
I raise my forearm and silently watch.
***
Drop after drop falls off my fingertips
….It’s almost hypnotic…
For every drop that hits the floor
Another runs through my hair
They’re almost competing against each other….

The chaotic, yet harmonious music they make sends me into a trance.

Feeling each drop slide
Down my chest and around my back
I feel like I’ve been welcomed into this world that only I know of.
I want to shout it out, yet keep it to myself

Suddenly it caresses my thighs and slowly finds it’s way to my toes
I take a deep breath but struggle from it’s overwhelming power,
As it pounds on my face.
I think. I think about nothing. I think about everything.
And as I daze back into reality, I look around
I look in the mirror and all I want to do

Is disappear.
