Like a message in a bottle
Thrown into the sea,
I watch you from a distance
Drifting far away from me.

In silence, I do nothing
But sit and bide my time,
Knowing one day I’ll discover
That you’re no longer mine;

Floating on an ocean
That keeps me from your smiles,
The time between our moments
Now contains a million miles,

And like that mighty ocean
Where you drift away from me,
The tide of my emotions
Keeps me longing by the sea.
