You're everything I ever wanted
You're everything I never needed
Catching a glimpse of you
And your perfect imperfections
That amazing smile
That laugh that brightens days
The way of making everything worthwhile
Your active imagination
Every breath counts
Those crazy conversations
That I never want to end
But you still have this thing about
Just being friends

I've been through it all
Don't even try it
You're just another cliche
So untouchable, so unreachable
It all the same
Do I ever cross your mind?
'Cause I can't get you out of mine
You're just another sad song
So incredible, so magical
Its another game
You're just, you're just
Everyone's but mine

Can't you see what you're doing to me?
Does my pain bring you joy?
What is it worth?
The pain and agony?
Your soft subtle smiles
Your deep deep voice
Your innocent flirting
But I'm so stupid
Thinking that a chance is coming
Thinking that you care
Now watch me as I fall
But you still have this thing about
Just being friends

What am I to do?
Leap of faith and go for you?
I'd die for those chocolate brown eyes
Someday we'll look back
On this twisted relationship
Nothings in proportion
Don't let go
I want you to know how I feel
So many times I cry
So many sleepless nights
Everything wanted, nothing needed
Faith is not the issue.

[Note: This is written as a song, second stanza was originally the Chorus]
