Black Widow Spider

Tangled in your web
Was it inspired by love or deceit?
Are you harmless?
Or are you a cheat?
Did you lure me here under false pretense?
Is this the real thing?
Is this true love?
I have my doubts
A sense of uncertainty
I have been misled before
And I don’t want to be hurt no more
So if you practice deceit
I will spit in your eye
Make you pay for your lies
But what if you love me?
Should I commit myself wholeheartedly
And risk everything
There is no point complaining
I am caught under your spell
I read that the black widow spider
Feeds on her mate
Perhaps I should cancel our dinner date
