not quite a fairytale

The girl is all alone
She has no rightful home
Once was loved
But now is lost

Searching now for a place to stay
No one wants her
She’s different
Dressing in black
Never formal
Always casual

Happy she can feel
Hiding other emotions inside
Sometimes miserable she’ll be
Lashing out at everyone she sees

Breaking down on the corners of streets
Crying till her face is drenched
People try to help
But she disregards there calls

No one really cares
She silently will say
No one really wants to help

Leave her there to die they eventually say
Feeling unwanted
She tries to let go
Unsuccessful in her quest
Trying for a second time
She fails once more

She knows she’ll never win
She knows she’ll never be wanted
So leaving her to herself in an alley
Where she was left
And where she’ll die

She tries again to smile
But still thinking there’s nothing to be happy about

No one comes along anymore
She’s known as the girl who breathed her last breath
At an early time

Her life was a fairytale that didn’t have a happy ending
The prince never came to sweep her off her feet

The rain began to fall
The thunder rang out
And the lightning electrified the sky
She stabbed her self
After living a horrible life
And one last horrible night….
