This isn't the first time
I've tried it all before
But everytime I try to write
I cry even more
My tears smudge the ink
I can barely write
I'm not worried about what you think
It's not worth the fight

I'll end this perfect letter
Cross my t's and dot my i's
Sign it with "I Love You"
P.S. I don't want to say goodbye
I'll put it in an envelope
And send it to you
I thought you were the one for me
I was young I had no clue

Your life is different now
There is no room for me
I wish I could fit somehow
But its like a door without a key
You slammed it in my face
When I opened up my heart
And you handed it back to me
Crushed, broken, ripped apart

Now that we're over and done
I feel so alone
Sometimes I want to scream and run
But the letter is sent
Sealed with my tears
I hope you read and feel it too
And remember me for all these years
