I curl my toes around the lush grass
An ant crawls delicately
Carrying its awesome load
And I gaze up into the canopy
Of my leafy willow tree
Whose bark is old and weathered
And its branches outstretched
Welcoming the crystal blue sky
Cloudless and still
My dog’s eyes slowly close
His powder puff fur covered in mud
His body slowly rises
With each deep breath
The wind blows gently
Singing its whisper quiet tune
And my dark hair dances
In curly spins
A pink flower
Sleeps gently next to me
Every once in a while
It awakens
Showing off its beautiful satin petals
A little ways
Over the rolling purple hills
A beautiful lake
With lily pads
Gliding majestically
Beaded with morning dew
Two colorful butterflies
Twirl down
To a bended blade of green grass
Fluttering their brilliant wings
The sweet smell of summer
Tickles my nose
And a soft smile comes to my face.
