Mourning Parade Of Remorseful Youth

Eyes dark as lies
Heaven pulls
Hell sucks
Happiness is a hollow story of deceit
As madness washes back the darkness
A glimmer...
It fades into the summer heat
Spiders crawl throughout my dreams
Resembling all my failures
I'd fall in sorrow at the tragic mercy of defeat
If I could only wish to breathe
A fragile mind is slowly melted away
And the candle sticks that led us there
Grow dimmer everyday
It seems we will need no one
If we could only find ourselves
The places we hang
The pictures we've hung
Time, frozen, on a dusty shelf
A tearful remembrance of abuse
We held our banners high
I'd die for this
One fatal kiss
To bring it all back to the way it was
Rain falls on this mourning parade
Clouds, we're all too late
The remorseful youth, they lift their heads
Shut out from heaven's gates
Purple lids
Their blackened lips
Recall the forsaken screams
The remorseful youth
Defining the moment
Reliving the morbid dreams
It seems we will need no one.
