My Dream

Once upon a time, my friend,
I embarked on a lovely dream,
where everything was everything,
and nothing was what it seemed.
In this dream I was very young,
yet wise beyond my years,
I saw the world with open eyes,
and faced my hopes and fears.

There was no one who could hold me back,
or give reason not to try,
no one there to scold me,
no one to make me cry.

In the twilight I found freedom,
found fortitude and pride,
I found courage and stability,
on myself I could rely.
Now this may be my story's end,
but I will never end my dream,
because I believe in the power of faith in Jesus Christ,
it's all you'll ever need.

If someone tells you different, friend,
you tell them about my dream,
because what you believe is everything,
and not all you hear is what it seems.
