Deceiver

I was pushed into doing wrong.
Yet no one else came along.
You are one of great influence,
But you deceive from a distance.
Never showing any true feeling.
Always suspicious and never trusting.

I got you to trust me,
To tell me why you're never happy.
I got you to show me the truth;
To tell me the story of your youth.

I broke through to your heart,
Disecting you part by part.
I dig down to your soul.
Finally, I've reached my goal.

I see your pain, your weakness.
I feel the same I must confess.

But you don't believe me.
I'm suddenly a liar. Even though that's your specialty.
To you I'm stupid and worthless,
But to me I'm ugly and careless.

You betrayed me and stabbed my heart.
Now I know your plan to tear everyone apart.
I see you finding new recruits.
You trust them and tell them of your roots.

Now I see my mistake from the beginning.
First I met you, and then whenever you hurt me I was so forgiving.

I warn whoever reads this of my new found discovery.
Beware of those who seem vulnerable and lonely.
