I once had a dream that you were here
Standing with me so very near.
You leaned in far to whisper to me
Is this as close as we can be.?
You moved in closer, your body next to mine
Your heart beating slowly in time
It started to speed go faster as we swayed
All my pain left I was no longer afraid
I could feel your soft hand gently touching my cheek
As you whispered you loved me my knees went weak
Your sweet breath gently lingered on my neck and shoulders
Made me feel so high, so unsober
Your lips gently touch mine as we float into the sky
I never ever want to say goodbye
We have a cloud just for us
So high in the sky, everything painless
As we float back down, come to reality
As we slip apart I remember why I love you so dearly
But as you leave the pain remains
though hidden under the love you bring
Please come back again and erase the bad feelings.
