Mommy's Little Nothing; Daddy's Little Zero

I'm supposed to be happy
You're supposed to be here
Love is something I should have
Not something I should fear
But being happy today
Requires drugs and alcohol
How can you know what to say
When it's not even really you at all
Nothing's out of ordinary
When everyday's the same
Knowing that you'll always be
Just a faceless name
You're only government money
Another sad statistic
You won't ever be free
So you shouldn't even think it
Children lie in bed
Wishing daddy was here
He could clear their heads
And erase all the fears
But daddy's not your hero
He's sunken and withered away
And you're his little zero
Numbly hating your stay
Nothing's out of ordinary
When everything's the same
Knowing that you'll always be
Drowning in your shame
Little girl's want their mommy
But shes nowhere to be found
She's too busy, can't you see
To have you around
She could fix your broken heart
And make you forget your sorrow
Give you a brand new start
But she's too busy tomorrow
You're her little nothing
To be seen and nothing more
Your eyes get teary and sting
Because living is getting to be a chore
You wont ever be free
Always be opressed
why won't you see
You're just like the rest
Nothing's out of ordinary
When everyday's the same
Knowing that you'll always be
Someones silly game.
