My Home Is A Mess....

My home is a mess, but it’s not because of dirt
It’s not dirty laundry all over the floor, well, except for that one shirt
And no, there are not any dirty dishes in the sink
My home is a mess, but it’s not what you think

This mess in my home no soap will clean
No scrubbing sponge, and no washing machine
This mess in my home, I hear is not that uncommon
But if you ask me, it happens too god damn often.

My home is a mess because of who is not there
She is six years old, and has long light brown hair
With her cute smile, she could make clouds disappear
Instead it just rains, because my daughter is not here
