You held my hand, and promised me

You would never, ever let go.

You taught me everything I should be,

and keep teaching me these things I still do not know.

Without you, my world would end,

I do not want to know where I would be.

You are truly my best friend.

Please daddy, open your eyes, we all need you out here.

Please dear lord help him,

You would if you really did care.

Dad we cannot lose you to this,

If we did, it would not be fair.

Dad, please open your eyes, you need help, and we are here.

I can no longer tolerate finding bottles, of empty thrills you strive for

I can no longer find myself asleep,

Knowing that those thrills are what you will die for.
