Domestically Fractured

Feeling weird, not the same
I can’t make sense of it all
Where’s the door?
Where is the love?

They yell,my music’s volume goes up
The harsh words, the things said
Where’s the door?
Where’s the love?

I see where I wanna be
Not too far, just past the horizon
Where’s the door?
Where’s the love?

Its all too real, too vivid
So much anger, so many tears
Where’s the door?
Where’s the love?

Lack of air, loss of smiles
Loss of sleep, silent sobbing
Where’s the door?
Where’s the love?

Things portrayed to be
wished and hoped,still not true
Young love, same heartbreak
Little older, not much learned

The door is painted on a wall
Love left when I let down
The rose-colored glasses are off
Domestic, painful, absent of love

...................Eyes open
