She weeps
Her burning tears drop down
And slowly fall
To barren ground

From brazen lips
She sings her song
Listen close!
Her sad voice rings

It tells of beauty
Love once lost
Of spoiled hopes
And smothered dreams

She wonders
How long will it be
Till all have fallen
As did she
And none are left
To shed light onto dark?

Her song resounds
Through sunny days
Through winter, fire,
Wind, and rain

Its melody flowing
To my deepest soul
As my heart is wrenched
In pain

Till
Trapped In darkness
My tears and voice join hers
As my woe and worry
swells

For how much longer
will it be
Till she and all
Are lost from me
And I remain
With burning tears
And no ground left
To catch them?
