Why do you sit so high in your chair?
Why must you waste all the time of your hair?
Why can’t you accept the prettiness right there?
The mirror smiles when you look at it
The sun brightens from your smile

Laughter bubbles from my hearth
Deep in the darkness inside me
A light is pierced with your smile
You made me happy once
Made me happy to see you smile

Now I can’t help you
I see the tears
And I sit waiting
I can’t help you
I can’t get in there
You’ve been hurt
But I wont hurt you
The pain you feel
I try to reach
I want it out
I’d take it all for you
Just to see your smile

Maybe one day you’ll understand how I feel,
Maybe one day you’ll look in the mirror
And see it smiling back
You’re so beautiful
For once I want the smile on your face
To be from the inside….
