Sometimes, I lay out at night
Underneath the frustrated sky
And I wish, that I could be
Like the grey clouds and cry

Sometimes I wish I could be
As a tree, Full of stability
Rooted in the solid earth
Blown about, yet my home goes undisturbed

Sometimes I walk down the street
And watch the people, happier than me
And I wish I could take up a smoke
Laugh with friends, and pass a joke

But lately, instead I’ve been dreaming of you
And it’s got my mind something confused.
All of the things I used to wish
Don’t make any sense since I’ve met you.

Now all I wish that I could be
Is like those clouds, all fluff and pretty
Oversee a smile, since my sorrows died
Since you, my eyes see contently.
